HD Radio

The installation of In-Band-On-Channel HD radio requires careful planning, installation, adjustment and measurements.  SBE Certified Digital Radio Specialists handle the entire process from start to finish.  Sierra Multimedia has the necessary equipment to adjust and take the required measurements.

 
Studios Sierra Multimedia can assist with maintenance and repair of studio equipment and installations.  This includes consoles, recording equipment, routing, switching & distribution systems as well as program automation, specializing in Maestro.

Sierra Multimedia specializes in the design and installation of radio studios from equipment upgrades of existing studios, the installation of a single new studio to construction or a complete studio complex.  

In the past thirty-eight years, Sierra Multimedia Engineer Ray Klotz has designed and built over 100 studios in markets as small as El Reno, Oklahoma to as large as Los Angeles, California.

 
Transmitters Sierra Multimedia can maintain, repair and install all types of broadcast transmitter systems including AM, FM, two-way radio, RPU, STL and TRL systems, tube type or solid state, analog or digital and has experience with all power levels including 100,000 watt FM stations and 50,000 watt AM stations.

Service is also available on AM Direction Antenna Systems.

When disaster strikes a site, Sierra Multimedia partners with RF Solutions of Tulsa to take the measurements and repair antenna systems.  This allows Sierra Multimedia to provide total support for any transmitter installation.

 
Measurements Part of good engineering practice in the maintenance of broadcast facilities is the periodic taking of critical parameters and characteristics.  This can include Frequency, Modulation, NRSC Compliance, Bandwidth, AM Directional Monitor Points and others.  Many of these are required by FCC regulations.  Many stations are not equipped to take some or all of the required measurements.  Sierra Multimedia has the equipment and expertise to take these measurements and provide the documentation required in the station's records.

 
Compliance It is essential that radio stations keep in compliance with all FCC regulations.  This includes routine record keeping and periodic measurements.  One of the most overlooked and misunderstood item is the station's public file.  Sierra Multimedia can provide independent inspection of station logs & records as well as the technical operation and records.  We can then provide the necessary corrective action.

Sierra Multimedia can also assist radio station owners and buyers by providing a complete inspection of stations to be purchased.  This provides the buyer with an independent and detailed report of the property to be acquired.
