A Bit of History...
Sierra Multimedia was originally formed by Ray & Myra Klotz back in 1996 in Lake Isabella, California. At that time Sierra Multimedia was a graphics and marketing firm which did specialty shoppers, printing and published a small daily newspaper in the area. This being just after the internet became public, Sierra Multimedia began early on website design.
The company was incorporated in Oklahoma in 2002 under the name Tulsa Networks, Inc. At that time emphasis was on computer networking as well as website design. However, the calls for broadcast engineering services came in calling on Ray's near forty years of broadcast experience. So as to meet a broader clientele, the name was changed back to the original and became Sierra Multimedia, Inc. in 2005.
In June of 2008, Sierra Multimedia, Inc. relocated to Bella Vista, Arkansas. The state of incorporation was changed to Arkansas in the fall of 2008.
IT/Computer Services
In mid 2010 doors were opened to the public to provide services on computer, residential networks, commercial networks with both copper and fiber optic systems. In the local area, operation is under the name IT-NWA, or Information Technologies for Northwest Arkansas.

Most radio stations today have only one engineer on staff or use a contract
engineer to take care of several stations.
What happens when new studios need to be built or a new transmitter needs
to be installed?
Perhaps HD Radio
is in the near future.
It is hard
for that single engineer to keep up with daily needs and it is even more
difficult to find time to upgrade facilities.

Only SBE Certified Engineers supervise installation of studio or transmitter
projects.
Transmitter and small studio projects can be built on-site at the station.
Larger studio projects can be prebuilt in our assembly facility in Bella
Vista, Arkansas.
Completed studios
are fully tested before shipment to the station location.
This minimizes down time for existing studios during an upgrade.

we can test equipment as part of a completed studio before shipment and provide

We also can proof IBOC HD Radio transmission systems to show FCC compliance.
This service is available for new and existing HD Radio installations.
Has performance drifted?
Once a station is turned on, most stations don’t check for future compliance.
We can do this for you.
We
also do AM HD & non-HD NRSC annual compliance measurements with a complete
written report.
